DISCUSSION
Business Problem: The year-old Sarbanes-Oxley regulation impacts the Finance and IT organizations more than any other corporate departments. IT executives are
getting concurring and conflicting inputs from internal auditors, outside consultants, software vendors, and others on what to do to comply with the regulations. IT executives are seeking unbiased inputs as to what actions to take to achieve compliance.
Discussion: The moderator will review the applicable components of SOX and then turn it over to the panelists. The
panelists, in turn, will address how they worked with other business units to determine what technologies should be applied and how they used SOX as
an opportunity to justify needed data integrity, integration, reporting, and security improvements.

COST OF OWNERSHIP (TCO)"
Business Problem: How can an organization lower its total cost of ownership by demanding a high level of service and support from its IT vendors?
IT Solution: Service and support is a key differentiator among IT providers today, playing an important role in determining total cost of ownership of technology. IT organizations should evaluate vendors' service and support capabilities with at least as much scrutiny as technical specifications. Vendors can be evaluated on their service and support performance as easily as they are on technical performance.
