The Philadelphia Area Chapter of the Society for Information Management is a “by-invitation” federation of senior IM managers and practitioners experienced in both information systems and general management. SIM members represent a range of organizations, including business, consulting, and academic. The Philadelphia Area Chapter of SIM is a chartered chapter and is closely affiliated with SIM international.
Our Purpose
Provide leadership and education in the successful management and use of information technology to achieve business objectives through:

  • Providing a forum for creating and disseminating knowledge for/to IM professional.
  • Being the voice of the IM professional.
  • Building the capability of the IM professional by providing high-quality and topical workshops and speakers.
  • Developing close working relationships with academic members.
  • Recognizing excellence in the management and use of information technology and technical education.

BDPA, a national non-profit organization, was founded as the Black Data Processing Associates in Philadelphia in 1975. We are dedicated to the professional development of our members and the promotion of Information Technology in our community.

We provide professional and personal enrichment through monthly program meetings and other activities. Education, training and professional development programs are some of the strategies actively used by the association in reaching these objectives.

The mission of Network of Women in Computer Technology (NWCT) is to advance careers for professionals in Information Technology through education, mentoring, and providing outstanding professional networking opportunities.
Our members are women and men in the Delaware Valley who represent every area of the IT profession, including design, development, support, management and marketing of computer systems, as well as technical recruiting and training. We come from a wide range of companies of all sizes, products, services, markets and information environments.
