Russell Miller, VP, Merrill Lynch Strategic Development & Innovation

ECM is more than implementing a technology workflow and server system. It is about organizational change and optimizing the productivity of the assets of the enterprise in order to accomplish key objectives such as speeding time to revenue and rapidly managing costly corporate issues such as litigation risk, maximizing the effectiveness of targeted customers notices and communications, increased responsiveness to customer requests across lines of business, and customer contract management. Xerox has helped customers in many industries accomplish just this. We will bring customer users such as GM and other industry subject matter experts to answer your questions and discuss how they manage and leverage content across the enterprise to drive business value.

LUNCHEON KEYNOTE - “HOW TO SURVIVE AS A CIO”
Presented by: Steve Yates, CIO, KeyCorp
Discussion:
What does it mean when writers of CIO articles predict “The CIO of the Future Will Need to Have Greater Business Skills”? Most CIOs think they have good business skills, so why aren’t they perceived as such?
Steve will answer these questions by sharing lessons learned from his role as a CIO in Five Major U.S. corporations, one with an IT department over 3000 people. Starting his career as a mainframe systems programmer and working his way up through project management to applications department head to CIO, he has been a member of several executive teams and learned much about what they are most comfortable with in their CIO. Like all CIO’s, he struggles to be all they desire, but he will share how he has gained a significant level of recognition as a “business focused” CIO.
