  Dee Means
Conference Director, Vice President of the (ITC)

Deirtra (Dee) Means serves as the Vice President of the Information Technology Charlotte (iTC) council of the Charlotte Chamber managing a $200,000+ budget for the organization, the Chamber’s top project revenue generator. Deirtra has also held a position with the Workforce Development Division of the Chamber.

Under Deirtra’s leadership of the iTC, the council has received recognition from North Carolina Lt. Governor Beverly Perdue, the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board and the National Academy of Finance for their commitment and innovative programs that promote the integration of technology within the classroom curriculum and bridging the digital divide gap.

Prior to her Chamber position, Deirtra has worked in the software, insurance and banking industries. Deirtra was recently featured in the inaugural Bank of America’s Living with Pride magazine as a featured “Notable Name”.

Her board appointments include the Congressional Grant Advisory Committee for Johnson C. Smith University and UNC Charlotte IT departments. She also is on the advisory board for the UNC Charlotte College of Information Technology.

Deirtra graduated from Bennett College, Greensboro, North Carolina with a B.A.S. (graduated with honors) in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Ed Galloway began his first consulting practice in 1992 after 20 plus years of Information Technology management experience. Career highlights include leading a variety of organizations through IT driven change at marquee technology companies such as Alcatel, Data General, Exide Electronics and Lord Corporation. Ed's consulting practice centers on IT planning and leadership coaching. In the past 6 years a second practice has evolved, which focuses on providing Financial Management consulting to nonprofit organizations. Ed is past president of North Carolina SIM International, has taught consulting best practices at the School of Engineering, North Carolina State University and is a past member of Who's Who Executive Club World-Wide.

Ed holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Villanova University and an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
